Hampton-Preston Mansion (meet at Museum Shop)
Take an archaeological adventure each Friday as Historic Columbia Foundation hosts archaeology field trips to the Hampton-Preston Mansion. Participants will receive an introduction to archaeology and discuss the importance of the archaeology project on the grounds of the Hampton-Preston Mansion. Participants are invited to assist as we dig through the past to uncover the history of the mansion. This event is $5 for members, adults, and children (recommended for children 5 and older). This event is part of the archaeological survey work at the Hampton-Preston Mansion. The project will provide insight into the landscape usage on the property; interpreting the site but also determining what underground assets are present.
