Historic Columbia Foundation will offer “People, Places, and Progress of Early Columbia, 1600–1858,” a six-part lecture series presented by Dr. Warner Montgomery, local historian and publisher, to the public in the fall. Held each Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. starting September 16 through October 21, 2008, the program will feature lectures on cultural aspects of Columbia’s past and bus tours to various historic sites. “People, Places, and Progress of Early Columbia” lectures are $55/$45 for members.
