Barringer Building

Built in 1903 as Columbia's first skyscraper, the Barringer building is a steel-frame structure rising twelve stories above Main Street. The brick and limestone façade features rich details that are matched in quality throughout the ornate plasterwork of the lobby ceilings. Developer Tom Prioreschi currently is renovating most of the floors into apartments, adding further to the options available to individuals seeking downtown residential opportunities.
