Carol Sanders Law Firm
1819 Marion Street
Built about 1891 as a single-family residence, this two-story, wood-frame structure is a modest interpretation of the Queen Anne style, popular in the United States from 1870-1900. A one-story porch with a bead board ceiling spans the structure's entire façade. Other notable features include a front gable with bead board siding and dentil molding and a handsome front door embellished with a teal-colored central panel surrounded by patterned glass panes. By the 1920s, the home had been converted into apartments, at which point several additions were made, including one to the north side which makes the house appear more symmetrical than its original construction.
Used as an apartment until at least the 1980s, the property was home to several medical professionals including chiropractors and nurses. By 1990, the structure was vacant, and within a year it was bought and rehabilitated by a construction company. Currently, the property is owned by the Carol Sanders Law Firm, which moved in on St. Patrick's Day of 2000.
