Grounds of the Mann-Simons Cottage
In the 1840s, Celia Mann, a free-black midwife became associated with this site. Successive generations of her family lived and worked here until 1970. The landscape underwent significant change during these years; including the construction and demolition of residential and commercial structures as well as support buildings associated with the cottage.
