Join us in the lush gardens of the Hampton-Preston Mansion for the 2025 Spring Plant Sale!

Celebrate spring at our Plant Sale! Browse heirloom flowers, shrubs, vegetables, and perennials, all grown in Historic Columbia’s gardens. All selections are integral to the stories we share and many are rare or hard-to-find. Our horticulture experts will be on-site with tips and recommendations. Don’t miss this opportunity to refresh your garden and connect with fellow green thumbs.

Become a Historic Columbia member at any level to gain admission to this exclusive members-only preview sale from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025. 

The sale will be open to the public from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, and 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025.

🌱 Member Pre-Sale Has Ended – But You Can Still Shop!

Please note that as of April 9 at noon, our exclusive member pre-sale has now concluded. But don’t worry — there are still plenty of plants ready to find their new homes! Members are welcome (and encouraged!) to shop during our in-person plant sale. Hours listed above. Come browse a wide selection of native, heirloom, and hard-to-find plants perfect for your garden.   • Parking

    There is free street parking located around the Hampton-Preston Mansion. Please obey all posted parking signs. 

    Following your purchase, the back entrance on Laurel Street may be used to load your vehicle.

  • Weather

    In the event of rain or inclement weather, the Spring Plant Sale will be held in the Boyd Horticultural Center, located at the rear of the Hampton-Preston Mansion Gardens.

    Our gardens are open for visitation all week long! Check here for more details.
