Hampton-Preston Mansion & Gardens : 1615 Blanding Street, Columbia, SC 29201

Performers from the South Carolina Philharmonic will join Historic Columbia for an enchanting outdoor concert in the gardens at the Hampton-Preston Mansion. This program will showcase Oktoberfest-inspired musical selections, highlighting the spirited melodies and musical traditions of Germany and Central Europe.

Please plan to arrive any time after 5:00 p.m. The concert will begin at 6:00 p.m. and last an hour. Bring your own blanket or chairs, and pack a picnic if you'd like.

Tickets are required and space is limited. Please note that this event is for those 21 & over.

  • Refunds

    Refunds are not available. In case of inclement weather, the concert will proceed inside the Boyd Foundation Horticultural Center, located at the rear of the Hampton-Preston Mansion & Gardens. 

  • Parking

    There is ample unmetered parking available on the blocks surrounding the Hampton-Preston Mansion. Guests will enter the site on foot via the Laurel Street gate.

    The parking lot located inside the fencing beside the Boyd Foundation Horticultural Center is reserved for guests with accessibility needs only. 

  • Accessibility

    Concert in the Gardens is held on the back lawn of the Hampton-Preston Mansion, which is bordered by a low brick surround. While the surrounding gravel walkways are accessible, accessing the lawn requires crossing the brick border, which may present a barrier for visitors using wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, or other mobility devices. If you have questions about accessibility, please contact us in advance to discuss accessibility modifications.
