2209 Harper Street

Constructed around 1930, 2209 Harper Street serves as a rare example of the Craftsman bungalow style in this neighborhood. The Craftsman style swept the U.S. during the first half of the twentieth century. Though its details varied by region, the bungalow at 2209 Harper demonstrates many key features of the style, including thick, tapered columns resting on brick piers, a low, deeply recessed porch, and exposed rafter tails.
