1415 Richland Street

Constructed about 1845, this two-story frame building was the home of Mary McDonald when C. Drie rendered his Birdseye Map of Columbia in 1872. While originally situated on an entire acre, or one-fourth of the block stretching from Richland to Calhoun Street, by 1883, the parcel was divided in half to accommodate new development on Calhoun Street.
