Summer Camp

Each summer, Historic Columbia holds two sessions of a summer day camp. This summer, the sessions are on June 19-23 and July 10-14. Camp days run 9 am to 4 pm.

History will come to life through interactive activities and exploration of the gardens, grounds, and houses of Historic Columbia. Campers ages 8 to 12 are invited to take an adventure in time as we explore what it was like to live in the past!

In 2017, the theme is PLAYING THE PAST!

Play your way through the past at Historic Columbia’s 2017 Summer Camp. Each day, children will explore the playful side of history through games, toys, sports and amusements. From the flying kites like Benjamin Franklin to your favorite childhood video game, this year’s camp is all fun and games… with a dose of history.

Payment is accepted online through the session pages, but must be accompanied by a completed REGISTRATION FORM and WAIVER. Registration is not complete until payment and both forms are received by HC staff.

Contact Jennifer Gunter, jgunter@historiccolumbia.org; 803-252-1770 ext. 26 for more information or to sign your child up today!

Member cost $160. Nonmember $200.  Camp is open to all children ages 8-12.

In 2016, the theme was Past Adventures. Check out photos from last year HERE!

In 2015, the theme was Mission History. Each day, kids had a mission to explore a different aspect of history including food, archaeology, music, art, storytelling and even silent film through games, crafts and play. Please see their videos below:
