What spaces are available for photoshoots?
We have both interior and exterior spaces available, including all garden spaces, the interior of Seibels House, the interior of the Boyd Horticultural Center, and the interior of the Carriage House at Robert Mills.
What is the cost take photos at HC properties?
Outdoor spaces are free during normal open garden hours and $50 per hour outside of normal garden hours. Seibels House is $50 per hour, the Boyd Horticultural Center is $100 per hour, and the Carriage House at Robert Mills is $25 per hour.
Do I have to schedule my photoshoot?
Yes, even if you are taking advantage of our free open garden hours, you must schedule your photoshoot with our Rentals Coordinator.
What are garden open hours?
Seibels House (1601 Richland Street): 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Tuesday - Friday
Robert Mills (1616 Blanding Street): 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday | 1 - 4 p.m. Sunday
Hampton-Preston (1615 Blanding Street): 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tuesday – Saturday | 1 - 4 p.m. Sunday
Can I have a photoshoot inside of one of your museums?
No, photoshoots are not allowed inside of any HC historic house museums.
Can I bring a pet to my photoshoot?
We are pet friendly in our outdoor spaces! We just ask that you clean up after your furry friend.
Are there any prohibited items?
Glitter, confetti, sparklers and spray string are not allowed on any property for any purpose. Open flames and/or sources of high heat may not be used in any interior space, due to the historic nature of our venues.
Is there a way to know which plants will be blooming in the gardens during my photoshoot?
Yes! Please click here to view our garden database, where you can select the property you wish to rent. Then, under advanced options, you can select the Flower Time (season) and hit search!
