What spaces are available for photoshoots and elopements?
Exterior spaces, including all garden spaces are available Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. We also have interior spaces available, including Seibels House, the Boyd Foundation Horticultural Center, and the Carriage House at Robert Mills available to rent for photoshoots.
What is the cost to take photos and have elopements at HC properties?
Outdoor spaces are free Tuesday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Outside of these hours, renting spaces for photoshoots is available at $100/hour for garden spaces and $150/hour for indoor spaces.
Do I have to schedule my photoshoot or elopement?
Yes, even if you are taking advantage of our free photoshoot hours, you must schedule your photoshoot or elopement with our Rentals Coordinator.
Photoshoots may not be scheduled Friday through Sunday during the months of March, April, May, October, November, and December.
Elopements are limited to 15 people and must not exceed a timeframe of 45 minutes.

Can I have a photoshoot inside of one of your museums?
No, photoshoots are not allowed inside of any HC historic house museums.
Can I bring a pet to my photoshoot or elopement?
We are pet friendly in our outdoor spaces! We just ask that you clean up after your furry friend.
Are there any prohibited items?
Glitter, confetti, sparklers, cold sparks, and spray string are not allowed on any property for any purpose. Candles and/or sources of high heat may not be used in any outdoor or interior space due to the historic nature of our venues.
Is there a way to know what the gardens will look like during my photoshoot or elopement?
HC’s horticulture team works during open garden hours Monday through Friday to care for our 14 acres of public gardens. HC cannot guarantee that your time will be free from active maintenance activity, including but not limited to: mowing, trimming, blowing, planting, and/or irrigation maintenance.

What are other guidelines for my photoshoot?
No set-up of chairs, tables, decorations, etc. is allowed outside. Interior or exterior furniture, fixtures, or plantings may not be moved, altered, or cut. Please leave grounds and restrooms in an orderly fashion.
What is your cancellation policy?
Booked times are final and may only be moved due to weather or other emergencies. Refunds are not issued for unused time on the day of the rental.
