Important Summer Camp Announcement

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Historic Columbia will not offer Summer Camp for the foreseeable future

Columbia, SC (updated August 16, 2024) - Historic Columbia has made the difficult decision to cancel its annual summer camp for the foreseeable future. Despite efforts to promote the camp and engage the community, the organization has not received the level of participation necessary to proceed with the program.

Historic Columbia's summer camp has traditionally been a cherished opportunity for children to explore the history and heritage of our city, while engaging in fun and educational activities. However, in the recent past, the organization faced challenges in generating the interest needed to sustain the camp.

Historic Columbia is exploring alternative programming and experiences to continue offering educational resources to children and families during the summer months. Updates and information on these initiatives will be shared on the organization's website and social media channels.
