Join Historic Columbia for a two day professional development workshop on August 8 and August 9 from 9AM-4PM!

Historic Columbia will present Reconstruction themed content and curriculum materials aligned with the NEW South Carolina Social Studies Standards, developed using resources provided by Historic Columbia, SCETV and the South Carolina Historical Society. In addition to curriculum content, teachers will learn different ways to teach and assess a variety of skills in the classroom. Teachers will also get a chance to check out resources available to them and their students through Historic Columbia, SCETV, and the SC Historical Society, and experience guest speakers from the University of South Carolina! Continuing education credit is provided for this workshop.

The workshop is $25 and includes lunch for both days.
