Palladium Fall Tour

Stayin' Alive on Main Street

On November 2 and 3, 2018 we held our inaugural Palladium Fall Tour on Columbia’s Main Street.

“We are excited to offer a glimpse of Columbia’s past and present during our inaugural Palladium Fall Tour. Main Street is thriving and much of that has to do with the retained character of its historic buildings and adaptive use by local property owners. Main Street is a dynamic place where people want to be, explore and enjoy, and this tour will certainly allow people all of those opportunities.” — Lauren Elliott, Palladium Fall Tour co-chair

70s Kickoff Party!

Friday, Nov. 2, 2018

Festivities commenced at the Stayin' Alive festivities at a 1970s-themed costume party featuring "Down Under Tours," specialty food and drinks, music from DJ GLDFNGR and dancing. Guests had the opportunity to explore Columbia's Down Under below the Arcade Building, Columbia's first indoor shopping center, which housed a group of shops, bars and restaurants between 1972 and 1974. Today, Columbia’s Down Under is remembered as a unique attempt to capitalize on the Arcade Building's location and architectural layout.

Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018

Guests got to enjoy a biergarten and take an exclusive tour of some of Main Street’s historic lofts and buildings at the Palladium Fall Tour. The biergarten took place at The Venue on Main with beer and wine provided by The Whig (including a special Palladium Pale Ale), food trucks from City Limits Barbeque and Pawleys Front Porch, games and music.
