Prior to joining Historic Columbia in 2022, Richardson worked at the Autry Museum of the American West in Los Angeles, the Farmington Museum System in New Mexico, and the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History outside of Atlanta. He has written books and articles on a variety of topics, including Colt: The Revolver of the American West and Howard Hughes and the Creation of Modern Hollywood.
