Melrose Heights-Oak Lawn

Established circa 1900 by members of the Powell family, the Melrose Heights-Oak Lawn neighborhood is listed as a Historic District in the National Register of Historic Places and is protected as an architectural conservation district by the City of Columbia. Loosely bounded by Millwood Avenue, Butler Street, Woodrow Street and Trenholm Road, this neighborhood is known for its diverse architectural forms and styles.
