Skidmore wedding

Ashlin Reese and Matt Skidmore tied the knot at the beautiful Seibels House & Garden on March 23, 2018.

When close friends and family arrived at this intimate celebration, they were encouraged to sign a Jenga block, in lieu of a traditional guest book. The smell of fresh lavender and eucalyptus floated through the house and gardens, while the flickering lanterns and candles brought a truly romantic feel to the evening. The soft colors of ivory, powder blue, and lavender made their appearance on the table centerpieces, fireplace mantles and in the bridesmaid’s flowing gowns. Even the groomsmen sported the springy lavender color in their pocket squares.

The look on Matt’s face as she approached says it all! After the short and sweet ceremony under the palmetto trees, guests were invited to the classic black-and-white tiled sunroom for the couple’s signature cocktail, served in personalized cups and koozies!

Southern Way provided delicious food while Disc Jockeys Now played some of the couple’s favorite hits in the reception garden. Market lights from Party Reflections hung over a section of the lawn, creating the perfect dance floor. The Jenga blocks made a reappearance as a fun lawn game, in addition to custom cornhole boards. A polaroid station was created for guests to take snapshots of themselves and stick them in an album. The decadent sweet potato cake on the antique entry table was a hit, with the couple’s favorite furry friend, Stella, sitting right on top! The home and gardens were filled with laughter, proving the night to be as fun as their hashtag: #Skidmorethanafeeling.

Guests were encouraged to take home macaroons and petit fours from Ally & Eloise as a parting gift. When it was time for the send-off, guests stood between the garden hedges, throwing dried lavender and wishing the couple well.

The Seibels House & Garden was the perfect backdrop for this romantic yet casual affair. We hope you enjoy these beautiful images from Loring Magnolia Photography.
