Become a volunteer with Historic Columbia!
Learn more about Historic Columbia’s volunteer program by attending New Volunteer Orientation from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, September 24th. This session will include an overview of the history and mission of the organization, detailed information on the training process and available volunteer positions. Positions available include Interpretive Guides, leading tours of our four historic houses as well as neighborhood walking tours; Garden Volunteers, working to maintain our 14 acres of cultivated grounds; and Special Event Volunteers, assisting with a variety of events throughout the year. Orientation will include a tour of the Hampton-Preston Mansion.
Please note: This New Volunteer Orientation was originally scheduled for Sept. 17, but has been moved to Sept. 24 due to Hurricane Florence.
