Become a volunteer with Historic Columbia!

Meet new people, learn new skills and discover Columbia’s rich history and culture by volunteering with Historic Columbia. New Volunteer Orientation runs from 10 a.m. – 12: 30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16th with this free orientation session that introduces prospective volunteers to Historic Columbia’s mission, historic sites and programs. Volunteers are asked to donate 9 hours a month and positions available include Interpretive Guide- giving tours of our historic houses and walking and driving tours of local historic districts; Garden Volunteers- working to maintain our 14 acres of cultivated grounds; and Special Event Volunteers- assisting with a variety of events throughout the year. Orientation will include a tour of the Hampton-Preston Mansion.
