She Did Day

Architecture of Strength Monument : Intersection of Gervais and Main Streets, Columbia, SC 29201

She Did Day Power Hour | Celebrating HerStory

In partnership with Women’s Rights and Empowerment Network and Historic Columbia, Columbia City of Women will commemorate She Did Day 2023 at the Architecture of Strength monument (intersection of Main and Gervais streets). Join us on August 25th from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. for coffee, conversation, and celebration. A short program will commence at 10:30 a.m.

This year’s conversation

From Celia Dial Saxon to Ethel Martin Bolden, women educators have been advocates for teaching full and fact-based histories in the classroom. This year, Columbia City of Women will honor the impact of these women and invite the community to critically think about what transparency and integrity in education looks like today.

She Did Day 2023 will include networking opportunities, refreshments, and more. The first 100 people to arrive will receive Columbia City of Women SWAG items. Arrive early and ready to support She Did Day!

  • Sponsors

Donated dollars from the community allow Historic Columbia and WREN to present She Did Day to the public for FREE. Learn more about sponsorships at the link below.
