Pride Night Poetry Reading

Curiosity Coffee : 2327 Main St., Columbia, SC 29201

Join Historic Columbia for an evening of poetry from the contributors of Writing Our Queer Histories: South Carolina writers explore LGBTQ+ histories in the archive and beyond. Following select readings from the small booklet, Ed Madden (City of Columbia Poet Laureate, 2015-2022), will engage fellow poets in discussion about the power of the archive in Queer history and how learning about past protests, parties, and SC Prides impacted their writing.

Attendees will receive a free copy of the chapbook Writing Our Queer Histories, compiled and edited by Ed Madden and made available courtesy of Historic Columbia through a generous donation by Joseph Bruce.
