Knowledge at Noon: Explore Our Collection

Virtual

Have you ever wanted to know more about one of the objects you saw on a tour of a Historic Columbia property?

Join Historic Columbia Collections Manager Rachel Gregor for “Explore Our Collection,” the inaugural presentation in HC’s new Knowledge at Noon virtual series. Gregor will examine some of the organization’s most popular objects currently on display at HC’s five house museums. Attendees will discover the stories behind these objects and how Historic Columbia cares for its 4,000-piece collection.

Staff headshotAbout Rachel Gregor

Rachel Gregor is a recent graduate with archaeological, curatorial, and collections management experience. As Collections Manager, she oversees the care of Historic Columbia’s collection, both on display and in storage. Additionally, she maintains our online collections database and provides the interpretation about our many historical objects. Rachel holds a bachelor's degree in Anthropology and a master's in Public History, both from James Madison University. As a new resident of South Carolina, Rachel spends her time outside of work exploring all of what the state has to offer.
