Teacher Resource Forum | Utilizing Historic Sites in Curriculum Planning

Sold Out!

Mann-Simons Site : 1403 Richland Street, Columbia, SC 29201

Historic Columbia’s Teacher Resource Forum will reintroduce our many resources to educators across Richland and Lexington counties and invite their input on our current offerings. In the face of ongoing challenges to inclusive social studies and history, Historic Columbia plans to ensure that teachers and students still have access to the full, often complex story of South Carolina. Historic Columbia will provide a tour, followed by a short presentation and feedback session with light refreshments.

We value your time and expertise. Thanks to the generous support of Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union, each teacher who participates in the forum will receive a $50 stipend.

This forum is open to teachers of grades 8 and 10 (middle and high school). Teachers of grade 5 can sign up for the elementary school session.

  • Reservations

Participation is free, but registration is required. Please register with your legal name and current email address.

Space is limited, so you must reserve a spot. All participants will receive a logistical email the day before the forum.

The last date to register is Friday, July 12.
