Ashley & Corey

Corey and Ashley traveled all the way from The Empire State to become man and wife at the alluring Robert Mills House and Gardens on the evening of October 6, 2018.

Surrounded by friends and family, the stunning bride got ready for her big day in the Robert Mills West Flanker and accented her crisp white gown with an elegant pearl barrette. Her bridesmaids radiated in their rustic gray dresses alongside her. The color scheme was a calm combination of white, dusty blue, gray, and muted green. The bridal party’s ravishing bouquets from Deloache Florist included beautiful white roses, eucalyptus, and white anemones tied by a dusty blue ribbon. These stunning bouquets perfectly complemented both the gowns and the cozy venue décor.

The intimate ceremony took place on the back lawn of the Robert Mills House, shaded by magnificent magnolias. Polished wooden chairs from Lake Murray Event Rentals were spread on the lawn for excited attendees to support Corey and Ashley. From the towering greenery to the elegant decorations, the venue was heavenly for the sweet couple’s ceremony. It was a genuine and memorable day for everyone in attendance.

Wedding at Robert MillsPromptly after the ceremony ended, it was time for a fun cocktail hour in the secluded Founder’s Garden. Full of eye-catching hedges and pathways, this was a hip location for everyone to wind down and share cocktails and conversations. Ed’s Bartending provided beer and wine for the guests to enjoy. Family and friends all around were sharing laughs and happiness.

Ashley and Corey took advantage of the multiple beautiful spaces in this venue. The reception took place in the historically significant Carriage House and My Mother’s Garden. Corey and Ashley had a journal set out for guests to write sweet notes, advice, and memories for them. They also placed photos of their parents’ weddings in the Carriage House, to tie their families together. First Name Basis catered the event with delicacies ranging from appetizing vanilla and chocolate cupcakes to tasty varieties of fresh pizza. Friends and family encircled the couple for their romantic first dance in the Carriage House. The bride then shared a tender dance with her loving father and the groom with his mother. These authentic moments were definitely some highlights of the reception. After this, everyone danced the night away and the wedding party gave speeches to make the entire crowd laugh.

The couple was sent off with lots of love and happy tears. Guests were gifted with adorable jars of peanut butter and jelly labeled “better together”. This complementary combination was a great representation of how perfectly the couple fits together!
