Kindred the Family Soul

We're excited to announce this year's Jubilee headliner: Kindred the Family Soul, a neo soul duo consisting of Fatin Dantsler and Aja Graydon, who have been married for 17 years.

The Philadelphia-based couple first started recording in 2003 for their album Surrender to Love. It launched their career with several four-star reviews and two hit singles. From there, they recorded four more albums, and produced a short film to visually accompany their latest. Kindred’s music has garnered them much praise in the industry. In 2004, the group was nominated for a Soul Train Music Award for “Surrender to Love,” and in 2006, they were nominated for a BET Award.

Beyond music, Kindred the Family Soul gives back to the community through their annual Kindred the Family Games and Kindred the Family Reunion events. They were also featured in one of Walmart’s Family Gatherings campaign videos, which is now a favorite amongst Kindred’s beloved fans.
