CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF HISTORIC PRESERVATION
Since 1976, Historic Columbia has celebrated the people and projects that preserve the stories and character of Richland County. Over the years, 276 recipients have been recognized for helping to maintain and enhance the community’s rich historical, architectural, and cultural heritage. In 2026, Historic Columbia marks a golden milestone—50 years of preserving progress in Columbia. In celebration of this anniversary, the 2026 Preservation Awards will be bigger than ever.
EVENT OVERVIEW | MAY 14, 2026
Join us at The Laundry at Bull Street, a 2025 Preservation Award recipient, on Thursday, May 14, 2026. The 50 Forward Preservation Awards begins with the awards ceremony at 4:30 p.m., followed by a gala celebration at 5:30 p.m. featuring delicious food, refreshing beverages, and live music.
