1614 Crestwood Drive
Built in early 1928 by J. Frank Bailey, Inc., this residence was purchased by Robert Glenn and Kate Chisholm Bell in July of that year. R.G. Bell served as secretary for the YMCA at the University of South Carolina from 1919 until his death in 1950. In 1948, he established the YMCA camp located on Percival Road about 13 miles from campus, which was renamed in his honor. The Bell family sold the house sometime after Kate Bell’s death in 1973.
