1925 Marion Street
Identical in form and detail to residences located within other downtown Columbia neighborhoods, this 1925 bungalow was constructed by Mrs. Georgia A. Driggers for $3,000 and listed for sale at $7,500 the same year. A reaction to the excessive detailing found in late Victorian design, the bungalow form celebrated the beauty and texture of building materials in a rustic and simple appearance.
