Arsenal Hill

Named for the military academy established here in 1842, Arsenal Hill is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as “Columbia Historic District 1.” Bounded by Elmwood Avenue, Assembly, Taylor and Huger streets, this neighborhood is situated at the highest point in the city, making it desirable to residents since the late eighteenth century.
